This year the School Council members wanted to do something different to previous years to raise money for Red Nose Day. They discussed things that had worked well in the past and ideas that would appeal to all children in school. The final decision was that WEAR SOMETING RED and a DESIGN YOUR OWN RED NOSE COMPETITION would be our fundraising ideas this year.

We were amazed by all the wonderful entries from each class and Mrs Middleton found judging the best in each class very challenging!

Our KS2 Trim Trail replacement

The school were able to secure a grant to replace the current KS2 trim trail and the School Council were given the opportunity to put forward the ideas from the rest of the children in school about what they would like the new version to include. Our School Council members were commended by the playground design representative who quoted "Thank you for inviting me to look at your play area the other day. It was lovely to meet you and the School Council. I was very impressed , they knew exactly what they were looking for". 

The first design was then created and the members then fed back with any changes or concerns they had thought about. 

They then had the chance to try out the new design when it had been completed prior to the rest of the school.

They are very pleased with the end result! 

The Worksop Christmas Tree Festival

The Worksop Christmas Tree Festival was again this year led by our School Council members who this year created a tree with a difference! The tree was created using paper chains that were made by each class and every child in school had made a tiny piece of our finished tree as they decorated an individual chain with Christmas pictures or words.

The School Council , along with Mrs Knowles had the task of making the tree come to life as it was displayed in the Priory church alongside many others.
